I’m Back

Posted on: April 12, 2007

So, I haven’t really felt like crafting or blogging lately. And the stuff I have done I’ve forgotten to take pictures of, of course. Today I have decided that I need to get back into the swing of things. Today I’m going to blog about all the media that I’ve been watching/reading/listening to lately.

Butch Walker

First off on the list is Butch Walker’s cd Letters . Chad got the cd because of a random recommendation (which is how he gets most of his cd’s I think), and I really like it! I’ve been listening to it in the car a lot, and yes is very Pop, but what’s wrong with that? 🙂

Finally finished the Tower of Shadows, which I requested from the library on a whim. I’m not even sure how I heard about it.  Probably just on Amazon.   I almost didn’t keep reading after the first couple of chapters, because it seemed a little too dark for me (which is actually saying a lot), but I’m glad that I kept going, because I actually liked it.  Not the best writing ever, but not everyone is George RR Martin.  Speaking of George… I’m really itching to read Fevre Dream again.

Oh!  I just remembered!  Another of my favorite authors has a new book, and I just found out yesterday!   I don’t know if I’m going to be able to wait for the library to get it in… they have it on order.

Finally saw Casino Royale (the new James Bond movie).  I may be one of the few, I don’t know, but I really liked this the best of the all of them. I’m not usually a big fan.  I like the new Bond… I’ve liked the actor is other movies.  He’s pretty good looking to say the least. 🙂

Pursuit of Happyness: man, was that a depressing movie.  Will Smith and his son were great though!

And last of all– The Holiday.  I loved Kate Winslet, Jude Law, and Jack Black.  I almost even liked Cameran Diaz (that’s a big step for me!).  Jude Law is really great.  I loved his character.  I do have a thing for English actors I guess (Colin Firth is all I’ll say here).

I’ll be back soon with craftiness… promise!

See we have a few things in common…I enjoyed both the Holiday and the Pursuit of Happiness ( and I usually don’t like Cameron Diaz either). I agree that Pursuit was very depressing, but still good. I guess we’ll have to agree that we disagree on A Good Year…I just though it dragged on too long.
