Searching For Creativity

Muffin Day

Posted on: January 18, 2008

So, I’ve been trying to figure out ways to keep B entertained while we are stuck in the house all the time. I figure the busier he is, the less likely he’ll be to make messes (like my favorite coffee creamer spilled all over the floor this morning). So, Chad suggested a controlled mess: baking. Here’s Brendan’s first muffins:

Orange-Cranberry muffins. He had fun anyway.

Any more suggestions for stay at home activities that will keep him from asking to watch a show 10x a day (and wear the kid out!)? 🙂

Looks like he had fun. We are huge fans of cooking together – some other things we try are puzzles, crafts, and tents. The tent is fun because they gather blankets, pillows, or just about anything stackable and build a tent. It takes time to make then they play in it for awhile. Then we clean it all up. PBS kids website have some great craft and baking stuff we usually try too. Hope that helps alittle…

He looks very proud. Good idea! Feeds the family and keeps him busy too.
