Horse Ride!

Posted on: August 4, 2008

We went to the Rivermarket Saturday morning.  Check out what B got to do.  It was the only fun he had the whole time, because I was just so tired.  Poor kid.  I had fun anyway though.  Mom met us there, and we found some great food, including Squash flowers!  Those I stuffed and fried today using this recipe.  Pretty cool! The only thing I would change is: put more salt in the polenta.  I served them up for the whole family along with grilled chicken and corn (ala Chad).

After the farmer’s market we all met my G-ma at a great Indian buffet and gorged ourselves, then the girls went to see Mama Mia. Chad watched the kids.  It was a fun movie, cheesy and cute.  Made us wish for fruity drinks, the beach, and dancing.  I came away thinking maybe Pierce Brosnan is better than Colin Firth now.  It’s hard to say that about Mr. Darcy.

And here’s my latest craft.  5 minutes a day for a few days and I now have 4 new bibs.  Don’t you love that fabric!?

Last, but now least.  A very dear friend had her birthday today.  I kind of missed it, because she lives in Thailand, but I think she’ll understand. 🙂  Love you and miss you Morgan!!!  Happy Birthday!

Whoa! I have been totally eyeing that same fabric you used on that bib for months. Did you buy it at a store or online? Thanks for the birthday love.
