Searching For Creativity

About

I’m a twenty-eight year old mother of two.  I stay at home with my kids, our dog Titus, and cat Caesar. We stay busy with all the normal household chores, changing lots of diapers, pre-school homeschooling, gardening, reading (mostly fantasy, classics, and historical fiction), crafting (knitting, sewing, scrapbooking), keeping up with my friends, baking, hanging out with my family (more about them later), and watching tv shows with my husband (he was worried that it would sound like all we do together is watch tv– I told him that obviously we wouldn’t have time to do all those other things on my list if that’s all we did! :).

When I first started my blog, I was just beginning my foray into the crafting world.  Now I’m about to start an online  shop with my sister in-law!  We’re both really excited!

Mainly I get my ideas from my sister-in-law Ginny, Amy Butler, and Martha Stewart. My Mom and Grandma are the ones that originally started me on the path though. They were the ones that originally taught me to sew, embroider, quilt, cook, scrapbook, etc. My mom even sent me to art classes, unfortunately I don’t have much talent there. 🙂 I wish. Then I met my friend Morgan, who is still the coolest person I know and one of the most creative. I married a musician with an artist’s eye, who I can ask when I need a little help being confident in my color choices etc (doesn’t mean I always listen to him- hehe). And finally, my brother married Ginny! 😉 So, anyway, that’s the short story of my search so far. Oh, besides my recent discovery of crafting blogs! I’m hoping to find lots of good ideas, and inspiration just from reading those! I’ll keep adding to my list of good ones… they seem to be infinite!

Hey…add something to your about page!

And you need a subtitle for your blog instead of “Just another WordPress.com weblog”

=P

Your dad is a very creative athlete. You should have seen the pitches he created and the slides into a stolen base. 🙂

Not sure how I missed this comment, Dad. 🙂
I always did wonder why I had the urge to embroider baseballs on everything. teehee
